The community members are discussing the issue of Twitter preventing access to information without logging in. They are exploring options to fix this, such as using an actor with login information. The Apify scrapers can only access publicly available data, so they may not work with the current Twitter changes. Some community members suggest trying a specific Twitter scraper actor, but it may not support scraping Twitter lists. The Apify team indicates they may prioritize adding this feature depending on the usage volume, which one community member estimates to be around 4,000 tweets per day. Another community member shares a potentially relevant Twitter scraper actor as a possible solution.
It seems that Twitter has prevented every information without logging in. Will you be able to fix this? Or should we think of other options? Are you considering an actor with login information?
are the scrapers working with login cookies? it was working but not anymore unfortunately. would be great if we can use it with login. any plans to edit it to work so?
Hi! The scrapers supported by Apify scrape only publicly available data (i.e. without login). Once the information will be available without login (seems to be the case in the coming days), the scrapers should be working again. To scrape Twitter information available by logging in, you can scan the store for a suitable Actor or write in
For now, the actor only works with tweets searches. However, depending on usage volume and urgency, I may prioritize adding this feature. So please, what is your estimated usage volume?
